Dinosaur Dracula!

Dino Drac’s March Funpack is here!

I’m late as hell in posting the March Funpack, continuing a trend that I hope to break by next month, no matter how much 2025 throws at me! But, rest assured, they’ve already been shipping, and all subscriber boxes are on their way! (Many have already been delivered, too.)

ANYWAY, yes, the March Funpack is here, and it’s a big one. I mean that literally. Larger-than-usual and heavier-than-usual, to accommodate a certain key item that I’m thrilled to share with y’all.

Subscriptions are currently closed, but if you’d like to buy just this one Funpack, I have a small number of spares that I can offer on an individual basis. The cost is $25, shipped to anywhere in the United States, which is a bargain in a world where a single egg costs two hundred and thirty-seven dollars.

1987 TV Broadcast of Elm Street!

The Purple Stuff Podcast is back, and we’ve brought the big man with us. Fred Krueger, Mom, FRED KRUEGER.

Grab a ratty blanket and find a spot on the berber carpet, because we’re about to march you through a 1987 network television broadcast of A Nightmare on Elm Street!

From an era when movies running on “plain” TV were still big events, we’re celebrating an all-time great horror classic with observations, trivia and a closer look at Freddy himself. We’re also diving into many of the TV commercials that aired during this broadcast, covering everything from Pizza Hut to Sesame Street dolls!

…which you can also find on Spotify, Apple, and wherever else you listen to podcasts.

This broadcast really had it all, and we’re thrilled to share the highlights with you!

As a reminder, The Purple Stuff Podcast is also on Patreon, where we add an exclusive bonus show every month. If you’ve never sampled us over there, joining gets you immediate access to all prior bonus shows. Thanks to all of our patrons for their extra support!

Oh, and if you’d like to see the commercials covered on this episode, we batched ‘em all together in this handy YouTube video. (With special thanks to The Nostalgia Society, for hooking us up with the recording to begin with!)

As always, thanks for your ears, and for sharing the show around! Sorry this one was a few days late, but we hope it was worth the wait.
