On his home world of Daikaiju, Grunt the lizard was a god. A 250-foot mutant reptilian beast, Grunt reveled in the mass panic and destruction he caused by taking strolls through the tiny natives’ villages or battling with other giant creatures.

Annoyed with the never-ending destruction caused by Grunt, the natives of Daikaiju unearthed an ancient alien staff that shrunk Grunt to a mere 6 feet tall and banished him to a strange new world…our world.

Now Grunt must suffer the indignity of working various odd jobs around town such as playing the alien villain in cheesy Sci-Fi shows or working as a mascot for the local community college or the payday loan place around the corner, all in a never-ending struggle to make ends meet.

It’s enough to drive even this former giant lizard god to drink.

But it’s not all bad for Grunt. He takes pleasure from the simple things in life. Besides being part of the community college’s award-winning cheer squad, Grunt enjoys games of ping-pong with Camo the gorilla, another exile from Daikaiju.

He also enjoys a weekly poker game with Camo and all the other mythical creatures he’s come across that have similarly been exiled from their worlds.

Grunt is also something of a ladies’ man…er, lizard…as long as they don’t mind dressing like the sacrificial natives he used to enjoy carrying around on Daikaiju. He may not have the nicest apartment or the best job, but Grunt is definitely living the good life.
