Zone Troopers!

It’s been many years since I last saw 1985’s Zone Troopers, but I remember digging it. Wikipedia’s synopsis: “In Italy during World War II, an American military patrol discovers a spaceship that has crash-landed in the woods, along with its alien crew. A nearby Nazi unit also sends a patrol to investigate the crash and to capture the aliens if possible.”

Sounds okay, right?

If nothing else, you should appreciate how different Zone Troopers is, in everything from plot to tone. Interestingly, while by no means a horror movie in the traditional sense, Zone Troopers was pretty definitively pitched as one in video stores, with a box that looked right at home among all of the schlocky ’80s creature features. Worth a watch for sure.
