Taco Bell Commercials!
Hey, here’s something different!
It’s a collection of Taco Bell commercials from the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
I don’t know. It just felt right for tonight.
(Naturally, now I want tacos.)
Small Wonder!
Here’s the first episode of Small Wonder, the infamous ‘80s sitcom about a regular family and their robot daughter:
…it was basically that, at least.
The show has been a meme for literally as long as I’ve had an internet connection, but it really wasn’t so bad. Cheesy as hell, but so what?
Actually, the best thing about Small Wonder was how it’d pop up in the most random time slots on Saturdays and Sundays. (This would’ve been in the early ‘90s, after the show’s proper run finished.)
I don’t know what the deal was, but it felt like Small Wonder reruns aired on multiple channels at no specific time. They’d just magically be on television whenever you desperately needed something to watch. Thanks, Vicki the Robot!
Plan 9 from Outer Space!
Here’s the famously bad (yet still charming) Plan 9 from Outer Space. Can’t believe I’ve never run this one before!
Divorce the film from its notoriety and it’s pretty great as background noise. The kind of movie you throw on and pay zero attention to while you read magazines and eat sleeves of Ritz crackers.
Legendary Sea Monsters!
Here’s an old episode of History’s Mysteries, covering various legendary sea monsters. For the record, few things could be more in my wheelhouse:
I’ve become skeptical (at best) about most “real” monster sightings, but I still hold out hope that there’s some scaly Kong lurking in the sea, just waiting to eat me.
