Dino Drac After Dark

His Name Was Jason!

His Name Was Jason is a solid Friday the 13th doc whether you’re a fan of the series or not. (Hell, I might say that it plays even better if you’ve never seen the movies, because it’s such a great crash course.)

The doc was kinda forgotten after the more robust Crystal Lake Memories hit DVD, but when it comes to talking heads babbling about Jason Voorhees, I don’t discriminate. Enjoy!

(Usual warnings about adult content apply. They don’t hide anything in this one.)

She-Ra: Princess of Power!

I used to watch She-Ra: Princess of Power all the time, mainly because I found the villains on that show far more interesting than whatever was on Masters of the Universe.

(Not trashing Skeletor, here. I’m just saying that I was a major mark for the Horde.)

Weird thing I realized: I don’t think I’ve seen a single episode of She-Ra since I was a kid. I’ve watched the big crossovers like Secret of the Sword and the Christmas special many times since then, but as far as straight-up She-Ra… nope.

Sooo, here’s a random episode of She-Ra: Princess of Power!

No idea if it’s a “good” one or not. I only picked it because I liked the YT thumbnail.

If you dig the show, it looks like the whole series is all over YouTube.

Remember to keep an eye out for Loo-Key! (I always loved that bit.)

More Sightings Episodes!

Here are a few random episodes of Sightings. (And there are like a hundred more on YouTube, if you feel like binging.)

Sightings was the poor man’s Unsolved Mysteries, but I don’t really mean that in a negative way.

The segments were rougher around the edges and often hard to believe, but the thing about Sightings was that it ALWAYS covered interesting, spooky stuff.

Unsolved Mysteries has a whole bunch of deadweight episodes if you’re only after the paranormal and/or macabre, but you can visit literally any episode of Sightings and it won’t disappoint.

It’s also a perfect show to end the week with: Spooky and kinda slow. Get me a cup of Raspberry Zinger tea and my skull print throw blanket.

Mortal Kombat II!

Here’s a complete playthrough of Mortal Kombat II. (Just pretend it’s a movie, because I sure did.)

There are YouTube playthroughs utilizing every character; I picked Mileena because she’s way cool and has the best ending.

I’ve run a video of the first Mortal Kombat game on here before, but I’ve always found the 1993 sequel to be so much more interesting, what with its increased “gothic” flair.

This isn’t a perfect analogy, but if the first game felt like an action movie with heavy doses of Hong Kong cinema and sci-fi, Mortal Kombat II had a vibe closer to an October horror movie.

Since that playthrough with Mileena is all-business, here’s another video that simply collects every FATALITY in the game. (Which is all you’re really interested in, anyway.)

I have great memories of playing the SNES version on our old downstairs television. Late at night, the music and visuals were spooky enough to put me on guard. The game itself never scared me, but it created the right ambiance for virtually everything else to do just that.

Lord knows if that flavor will come through on a YouTube playthrough, but that’s why I’m serving this up. Enjoy!
