Dino Drac After Dark

TMNT: Coming Out of Their Shells Tour!

Congratulations, you made it to another Friday. Time to let loose:

Here’s a VHS rip of TMNT: The Coming Out of Their Shells Tour, which I’m guessing y’all have heard of before. It’s pretty legendary stuff, and as cheesy as it all is, I think it’ll put you in a good mood.

If you have any frozen pizza, nuke it.

Garfield: His 9 Lives!

Here’s another old Garfield TV special. (While Garfield and Friends seems mostly-blocked on YouTube, pretty much all of the individual specials are there.)

Garfield: His 9 Lives premiered on CBS in November of ’88, and was based on the same-named book. It’s an hour long with ten segments, which was unusually robust for a Garfield special. Honestly can’t remember if I’ve seen this one, though I know I had the book.

In other news, we did some behind-the-scenes work on Dino Drac today, which should’ve finally removed any “Not Secure” warnings you may have been receiving. Added bonus: Fixing that seems to have eliminated a long-running issue with site pages never quite loading 100% of the way. Yay!

Whatever Wednesday.

I prepped some articles for the Countdown today — just assembling images and researching and such. The last one required an hours-long deep dive which I’ve only just finished, and my God, I can barely see straight. Maybe I can finally get glasses for a legit reason and make good on all of those times I tried to fake-fail eye exams just because I wanted a pair.

So instead of a video tonight, let’s just call this a Free-For-All Thread. Talk about whatever!

PS: If you’re hunting for an activity, I am gonna make an official call for After Dark video suggestions to run through the Halloween season pretty soon. If you wanna start bookmarking appropriate videos early, go for it! Just like last year, any suggestions I use will get posted with full credit. Details to come!

TGIF Commercials from 1996!

Here’s a great collection of TV commercials from 1996, which all aired during ABC’s TGIF lineup…

Pretty sure I was still on the TGIF train by this point.

There are over 70 ads in the mix, and what a tremendous mix it is. Looks like we’ve got everything from Starburst to Hot Wheels.

Enjoy!
