Dennis the Menace!
Here’s an episode of the 1980s Dennis the Menace cartoon — featuring one segment with a patriotic theme, to tie in with July 4th!
I rarely see this show mentioned nowadays, but it was a childhood favorite. I don’t know if it’s held up all that well, but whatever, variety is the spice of life here on Dino Drac After Dark.
PS: If you’re going to be out of town for the holiday, have a great one!
Super Mario at the Ice Capades!
Well, today was about as hot as I can stand without pulling a Claudia. I figured I’d fight the heat by choosing a chilly video:
Here’s the Super Mario Brothers’ Ice Capades performance, from 1990…. with fuckin’ Mr. Belvedere as King Koopa!
This was apparently part of a longer Ice Capades special on ABC. Super weird, super awesome, and just the thing to make 100 degrees feel like 65. Enjoy!
PS: I’m currently migrating Dino Drac to a different server. You shouldn’t notice any hiccups while we complete that process, but if you do, that’s why.
Free-For-All Saturday Thread!
Okay guys, let’s all sit on those big wet rocks that are just barely peeking out of the violent waves. It’s Saturday!
This is a Free-For-All Weekend Thread. Talk about anything!
The Harryhausen Chronicles!
Happy Friday. Here’s something you didn’t expect to watch:
Get set for The Harryhausen Chronicles, a 1998 documentary about Ray Harryhausen’s life and work.
This video was suggested by Brew Berry, who adds: “This Friday is June 29th, and would have been Ray Harryhausen’s 98th birthday. I personally plan to release the Kraken (rum) and toast his memory while watching several of his best movies, as well as this. The Harryhausen Chronicles has the added bonus of being narrated by Leonard Nimoy. This version has subtitles, but they aren’t too obtrusive, and it’s the best online copy I could find that wasn’t chopped into segments.”
Sounds good to me!
