From 1995, Congo: Journey into the Unknown got people SO HYPED for talking gorillas and Tim Curry. I’m so happy that this exists.
Super Mario: Level 4-2!
I’ve never been big on video game speedruns, but this is so damn interesting:
The video chronicles speedrunners’ attempts to shave seconds from one particular level from the original Super Mario Bros. Nintendo game.
I’m not making it sound very exciting, but trust me, you’re so gonna get into this.
Gremlins Book & Record Set!
This is fantastic. Someone ripped the audio from one of those old Gremlins book-and-record sets, where you were supposed to read along to a record’s narration. (Helpfully, the video includes not just the narration, but scanned pages from the old storybook!)
Forget the “reading” part, because this is such an oddly soothing thing to go to sleep to!
1994 Super Bowl Commercials!
Surely some of you will be watching this year’s Super Bowl only for the commercials. Before you do, check out this batch from 1994!
