Dino Drac After Dark

TV Commercials from October 1984!

Found this one earlier… looks like it has potential!

It’s a collection of TV commercials that aired on October 27th, 1984. Most of them aren’t spooky, but the opening minute alone is worth the click. (Trust me on this!)

Saturday the 14th!

We’ve run this one before, but it’s soooo perfect for tonight:

Enjoy Saturday the 14th, a cheesy-as-hell horror spoof from 1981 with some surprisingly impressive monsters.

Love this weird movie. Hope you will, too!

Free-For-All Friday Thread!

Happy Free-For-All Friday! You know the drill — talk about whatever you want in the comments, and just have fun!

Since it’s Friday the 13th (even if it will no longer be by the time most of you see this), here’s some on-point background music for tonight:

It’s the soundtrack to Friday the 13th Part 2, which remains my favorite film in the whole series.

And if you want a little more bang for your buck, here’s the old Purple Stuff Podcast episode all about Friday the 13th:

Hope everyone has a great night!

Triple Feature of Terror!

Let’s knock out THREE reader-suggested videos tonight. (Keep them in mind for tomorrow too, since Free-For-All Friday Threads don’t come with videos!)

First up is The Dummy, a 1982 short horror film.

This was suggested by Rich, who added that the USA Network used to air this with some regularity, if only to fill lengthy gaps between shows and movies.

Next we have a fan’s reading of the Halloween III novelization. (I own that book, and it is AWESOME, so this should be worth your time.)

This one was pitched by Jeremiah. Thanks, mang!

And last we have a spooky episode of Duckman! (Title: Duckman and Cornfed in Haunted Society Plumbers!)

This was suggested by Daviel McKaye. I’ll let him tell you all about it:

“As a teenager, part of the appeal of Duckman came from the adult-oriented humor, as well as from the existential horror of impending adulthood.

“In this (Emmy nominated!) episode Duckman and Cornfed are forced to temporarily set aside their private investigation business and become plumbers due to financial difficulties.

“They soon find themselves unclogging toilets at a posh party where the “Sharon Stone” is due to be unveiled — a jewel which carries a curse in the form of the angry spirits of its previous owners. Watch for a surprise cameo from another legendary cartoon character during the shocking finale.”

Thanks for the great suggestions, all!
