It’s finally time for Dino Drac’s 2024 Halloween Funpack! If you’re already a subscriber, good news: Your box has already been shipped, and will be there soon!
If you’re not a subscriber, I have some spares that I can offer on an individual basis. Supplies are limited, and the Halloween boxes usually go fast, so if you’re interested, zip to the bottom to order. They’re $25 each, and that includes shipping to anywhere in the United States!
…but if you’d like a closer look before you order, keep reading to learn about everything in this month’s box!
Leading the charge this month is something special. Back in 2023, there was a special McDonald’s Happy Meal exclusive to the UK, featuring a series of Halloween Squishmallows. These were never made available in the States, so anyone on this side of the world who wanted one was subject to massive shipping charges. Many people have spent more than the cost of this entire Funpack to get just one of these babies!
All subscribers will receive Bella the Spider, and most of the people who order spares will, too. I have just a few of the others available, and assuming this Funpack sells out, you may receive one of those instead.
Each comes unused in its cute little box, and these are coming straight out of their factory cases, completely untouched! An unbelievable score that I’m happy to share with you! Remember, you only get one!
You will also receive one of these very rare and super obscure Astro Monsters blind bags. As I understand it, these were only sold in Italy, back in 1992.
“Astro Monsters” appears to have been some kind of Godzilla-adjacent franchise that I know little about, but each blind bag includes a tiny kaiju figure and a couple of trading cards.
Then you’ll get a random Trash Pack blind bag. These things are getting so old, I’m tempted to call them “vintage.” I have a few different types available. Some include two Trashie figures; others include one Trashie and some kind of accessory.
Please note that some packages have price tags on them from their long ago lives in toy stores.
I’ve always adored the Trash Pack collection, which was like a modern version of the “little creatures” toy lines I grew up with in the ‘80s. The various blind bags cover multiple waves, so I honestly have no idea which ones you’ll end up with!
I’ll also toss in a Star Monsters blind bag! I’ve done this once before, but I thought they fit the theme of this month’s Funpack too well to exclude. Star Monsters was a line of random colorful creatures that kinda/sorta remind me of Crazy Bones.
Here’s something interesting! You’ll each get one of these vintage Madballs Skull Face patches, which I believe were available in vending machines back in the ‘80s.
They’re iron-on patches with adhesive backs, but if it’s easier to just think of them as oversized fuzzy stickers, that works too! And yes, the adhesive still works!
Please note that on many of them, I’ve replaced the old release liner paper with new sheets, just to ensure that they still stick. (And they do!)
This month’s snack is a full-sized Halloween Popcorn Ball. I’ve been wanting to include these for YEARS now, and finally had a box where they would fit.
Popcorn balls are a sentimental favorite from my trick-or-treating days, and I’ll never understand people who aren’t into them. A baseball made out of sugary popcorn – what’s not to love? Each is individually packaged!
This month’s 5×7” cardstock mini-poster depicts a classic Telco Motion-ettes of Halloween figure from the ‘80s, and it’s joined by this month’s exclusive 2×2” sticker, which features a scan of Heinz’s ancient Scarios label.
Rounding things out, you’ll also receive this month’s Funpack Newsletter, plus an exclusive essay that will never be reprinted on the site!
This month’s essay is about how my old elementary school used to celebrate Halloween. Come for the pizza party, stay for the purposeless costume parade!
So yep, you’ll get all of the above for $25, shipped to anywhere in the United States! (U.S. only, please!)
If you’re already a subscriber, you’re all set, and your box is already in transit.
