I wanted something nice, breezy and pleasant for this evening — something that’ll slow time for a while and let us all catch our breath.

With that, here’s the complete soundtrack to It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

For those curious, yes, CBS will be running the special this year. Twice, actually! Look for it on Tuesday 10/22 at 8PM EST, and then again on Sunday 10/27 at 7. Miss one if you must, but missing both would be criminal!

Here’s a small collection of horror movie TV spots, mostly from the 1980s:

There are only 17 spots on the playlist, but they’re really good ones, covering everything from Evil Dead 2 to Jason Takes Manhattan.

Horror movie trailers get more publicity and are generally more artful, but I have a much stronger connection to these old TV spots, even if they were usually just cutdowns of the trailers. Spots like these would hit television all throughout the day, adding an air of danger and excitement to every commercial break. Enjoy!
