Free-For-All Thread!
Been a while since we’ve had a dedicated Free-For-All Thread. I’m just preoccupied enough to make this the perfect night for one! Talk about anything!
Behemoth!
It’s Friday, so let’s run something with a little more meat on the bone:
Get set for BEHEMOTH, a 2011 Syfy movie that… well, I can probably stop there, right? “2011 Syfy movie” tells you all you need to know.
I guess I can at least copy/paste the description from YouTube: “Scientists discover a giant creature under the Earth that is wrapped around the entire planet. When the creature wakes all grumpy, it causes worldwide destruction.”
Most of you will skip this, but surely somebody out there needs a movie for tonight!
Let’s add a SURVEY, too:
Name one of your favorite GIANT MONSTERS.
Can be from movies, TV, a book, a video game, whatever! You can name your absolute favorite, or you can use this opportunity to “promote” a giant monster that doesn’t always get a lot of love. (Like, mine might be Gorga the Space Monster from the old Choose Your Own Adventure book.) Be descriptive and tell us why you’ve chosen your monster!
Spill it, in the comments!
Castlevania Playthrough!
I’m pretty sure I’ve run this before, but it just screams HALLOWEEN to me. Worth running twice!
Here’s a playthrough of Castlevania, for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Such fond memories of this game, and it really is fun to just watch some stranger blow through the whole thing, and get past the levels I couldn’t even get up to.
On Our Own!
Guys, I have a confession to make. You’ll hate me for this one, but it’s true:
I prefer Bobby Brown’s On Our Own — the Ghostbusters II anthem — to Ray Parker Jr.’s song from the first movie.
SORRY!
I’m not saying it’s “better,” just that I like it more. In Mr. Parker’s defense, I like On Our Own better than most songs. I just love it to death. Here’s the official music video. Enjoy — a little or a lot!
