Dino Drac’s May Funpack is here!

Dino Drac’s May Funpack is finally here! Actually, all subscriber boxes have already been shipped, and many have already arrived!

Subscriptions are currently maxed out, but I have a few spares of the May Funpack left to sell on an individual basis. If interested, zip to the bottom of this post to see if there are any left! (As always, the price is $25, and that includes shipping to anywhere in the United States.)

This is one of the largest boxes I’ve ever used for the Funpacks, so if you were in the market for a spare shoebox, you can consider that a bonus. Let’s see what’s inside:

Leading the charge is a case-fresh SORCERESS action figure, from Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Origins collection in 2022! The pictures say it all, but to sum her up in one word: Gorgeous!

If you’re unfamiliar with the Origins line, it’s meant to closely resemble Mattel’s action figure collection from the ‘80s in size and vibe, but with some modern improvements. The Sorceress was one of my white whales as a kid, so it’s nice to see a modern figure that so thoroughly scratches that ancient itch.

Standing around 5.5 inches tall, Sorceress comes with her trademark staff and a full mini-comic, just as she did way back when. These are factory-fresh examples, completely untouched, and free of unsightly price tags. A pretty hoity-toity toy by Funpack standards, and you’re getting it just in time for the new live-action movie!

Continuing on with the nostalgia bombs, you’ll each get THREE packs of Reyauca’s Transformers “stickers” from the ‘80s. I’m putting “stickers” in quotes because they aren’t adhesive. Made in Venezuela and never available in the States, you were meant to glue or tape them into Panini-style albums.

Based on the original cartoon, each pack contains just a few stickers/cards/whatever, but with three to rip open, you’re sure to find some decent shots. (Of course, that assumes you’re okay with shredding these rare packs from forty years ago!)

I know some of you are going to flip over this! Using a miraculously-accurate scan of my classic Doritos/Pepsi Dracula promo standee from the 1990s, you’ll each receive one of these beautiful die-cut reproductions, which are smaller than the original standee, obviously, but still stand in at an impressive nine inches tall!

(Why now, you ask? Well, I don’t often ship Funpacks in boxes as large as this month’s, so if I was ever gonna send a big cardboard Dracula, now was the time!)

Genuinely might be the best slice of art ever included in a Funpack, and it’s printed on extra-thick cardstock for added durability. These are truly exquisite, and given that the original standee rarely pops up and is hella expensive when it does, I think this smaller decoration makes for an excellent consolation prize! The photo does NOT do it justice!

You’ll also get one of these full-sized Gumby bumper stickers, which are all true ‘80s deadstock! I believe these were mainly distributed through the Gumby Fan Club, though they were probably sold in stores like Spencer Gifts, too.

There are many styles in the mix, including ones not shown here. You’ll get one at random, totally unused, and presumably still-sticky!

(Sadly, no Prickle-specific bumper stickers. I always liked that guy.)

For this month’s snack, you’ll get ONE little bag of these delicious Kettle Chips. It’s not often that a Funpack allows me to safely include a bag of chips, and I’m weirdly excited to finally have the chance again!

In the mix are four possible flavors: Sea Salt, Jalapeno, Salt & Vinegar, and Barbecue. All are delicious, and you’ll find one in this month’s Funpack!

Rounding things out, you’ll also get this month’s Funpack Newsletter, an exclusive essay about my recent trip to pick up Halloween blow molds from a total stranger, a 5×7” mini-poster starring the vintage Gizmo plush doll, and a 2×2” sticker featuring Leonardo eating yogurt. (Yes.)

So yep, you’re getting all of the above, for just $25 shipped!
