Okay, I’m finally ready to show you the February Funpack! I know it’s late to go up on the site, but all subscriber boxes have already been shipped!
Actually, the reason I’m putting this up so late is because I needed to ship all of the subscriber boxes to see exactly how many were left, for any non-subscribers who might want a box. As it turns out, I only have a few extra!
The neat thing about the February 2025 Funpack is that while everyone is technically getting the same batch of stuff, it still stands to reason that no two Funpacks will be precisely the same. It’s not exactly a gamble, but there will still be some surprise factor even if you read this whole post before your box arrives!
As always, the price is $25, and that includes shipping to anywhere in the United States. Subscriptions are currently closed, but if you’re not a subscriber, you can still purchase one, while my very limited supply lasts. Hop to the bottom for ordering info, or keep reading to learn about everything in this month’s Funpack!
First up, you’ll each receive a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie Action Vinyl, released by The Loyal Subjects back in 2017! (I can’t believe these are already almost a decade old!)
These are based on the 1995 movie (the one with my boy, Ivan Ooze), and straddle the line between action figures and Funko Pops. Each figure comes in a foil bag in a sealed blind box, and these are all coming out of old factory cases – so the rarer ones are absolutely in play, and some of you will get them!
In the mix are all of the Rangers and a few Zords, with the latter being a rarer get. (And then there are few super rare chasers, but I sure wouldn’t count on landing one of those!)
The way it seems to break down, I believe you have a 63% chance of getting one of the Power Rangers, and a 27% chance of landing one of the Zords. It doesn’t matter much, though – they’re all cool figures! The Rangers feature removable masks and an accessory, while the Zords come with tiny-sized Ranger figures!
Next up, you’ll each receive one of these swank 25th Anniversary Simpsons Keychains, which were released by Kidrobot back in 2014. (Another thing that I think of as “modern,” even though these are over a decade old!)
These were part of a larger set of blind-boxed keychains, containing various charms with ties to the series. For this Funpack, though, there are only three options. You’ll either get the Uranium Rod, Bart’s Skateboard, or Homer’s Donut.
These are all in sealed boxes and coming out of old factory cases. I have roughly equal amounts of the three varieties, so no matter which one sounds best to you, you have a 1-in-3 chance of scoring it!
Oh hey, lemme sneak in a vintage pack of Batman & Robin trading cards, from Skybox in 1997. While each pack only contains five cards, they’re HUGE cards, and very impressive, too!
I couldn’t help myself and ended up opening a few packs. They’re pretty stunning, and since that particular Batman film is so loud and colorful, it really translated perfectly to a trading card set. Hope you end up with that rare Mr. Freeze rookie card.
I’d been hoarding these for a while, and they seemed to be a great fit for this particular Funpack. You’ll each receive one of these Marvel Chibi Snapz capsules, containing a little rubbery Marvel figure with a suction-cupped bottom.
I don’t profess to be an expert on these, but I believe they’re from 2021, and unless I’m mistaken, all of mine are Series 3, with characters like Rocket Raccoon, Grey Hulk, and Captain America in the mix. You’ll like the figures, but you’ll love the satisfying “pop” that capsules make when you crack ‘em open.
For this month’s snack, you’re getting an old school Mini-Box of Kellogg’s Cereal. Consider this my protest of society’s shift to plastic cups for single-serve cereal portions. I much prefer the boxes, which are indeed still in production, even if they’re sometimes hard to find.
In the mix are assorted Kellogg’s cereals, from Corn Pops to Cocoa Rice Krispies. You’ll get one at random, and sugar fiends, don’t you worry – there aren’t any pesky “healthy” varieties in the mix.
Oh, damn! I almost forgot about these! The oldest items in this month’s Funpack, and some of the coolest! You’ll each receive a pair of 1980s adhesive patches, rescued from a warehouse. These were originally crunched into capsules and sold in vending machines during the mid ‘80s. While they’re “officially” patches, I prefer to think of them as big fuzzy stickers.
You’ll each receive two in your Funpack. First, you’ll get one from a mix of Care Bears and Strawberry Shortcake patches. Shown above are several of them, but other styles are in the mix, too.
You’ll also get one from a mix of The Smurfs patches, all featuring Smurfette in different poses.
So in total, you’ll get two different ‘80s patches, which are miraculously still adhesive even after all of these years. Look for ‘em hiding at the bottom of your Funpack!
Rounding things out is this delightful pile of stuff, starting with this month’s 5×7” cardstock mini-poster, featuring a repro of an old Beer Wolf ad. It joins this month’s exclusive 2×2” sticker, featuring the beloved mascot from Pizza Hut’s Bigfoot Pizza.
Then there’s an old Surge soda vending machine tab – a surprise survivor from the drink’s 1990s run. I’m not sure what any of you will do with an old vending machine tab, but I thought they packed enough of a nostalgic punch to be worth including.
You’ll also receive this month’s Funpack Newsletter, plus an exclusive essay that will never be reprinted on the site. (This month’s essay shares memories of my childhood “big nights out” with my parents – namely to a Jersey shopping complex that housed a movie theater and a Red Lobster.)
So yep, you’ll get everything seen in this post, shipped directly to your door for $25. (Including shipping!)
If you’re already a subscriber and you’d like to stay that way… do nothing! You’re all set, and your Funpack is already on the way!
If you’re not a subscriber but still want this Funpack, you can purchase one at the link below, while supplies last. United States only, please!
Thanks so much, everyone! Subscriber boxes are on the way, and any additional purchases are shipped within 1 day of payment. See ya in March!
