Well, the holidays are over, and now we’re stuck in Big Ugly January. I’m here to help combat those doldrums with one of the funnest Funpacks ever!
UNITED STATES ONLY! LIMITED SUPPLY!
The January Funpack is here! Seriously guys, you’re gonna love this one. There are over 10 items inside, but one in particular is an all-time great that I’m so thrilled to be able to share with you.
You know the deal by now, right? The Funpacks are sold on a subscription basis. It’s $25 a month (including shipping), and for as long as you remain subscribed, you’ll keep getting boxes of old-and-new treasure each and every month.
Supplies are limited, so if you want to order now, skip to the bottom of this post for info. Otherwise, keep reading to learn about everything you’ll receive in this month’s Funpack!
Drumroll, please! Yes indeed, you will each receive Dino Drac’s custom-packaged MY ALIEN PET. This is an adorable (and officially licensed) 6” E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial plush doll, “trapped” in an organza bag with its own My Alien Pet tag. Guys, I don’t want to brag, but this is freakin’ adorable.
The plush dolls are from 2012, but despite being eight years old, they’re still in perfect, unused condition. When you set your new pet free, make sure you feed it candy and introduce it to your favorite movies. Hell, you should name it, too!
This is one of the coolest items that’s ever been featured in a Dino Drac Funpack, straight up. You’re gonna love these.
Next up is a small pile of vintage trading card packs. I’m going back to old favorites from ancient Funpacks this month. You’ll receive all four of the packs shown above, including:
– Ghostbusters 2 (1989)
– Dick Tracy (1990 JUMBO pack)
– DC Cosmic Cards (1991)
– Power Rangers (Series 2 1994)
Within these packs is enough eye candy and reading material to keep you busy for a good long while. Get lost in a weird sea of Pruneface, Rita Repulsa and Slimer!
New year, new you — it’s time to start accessorizing. Let me help with this pair of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles buttons! You’ll receive the exact two shown above, including Mikey from the cartoon series and Mikey from the first live-action movie.
Buttons are in unused condition. Most are in perfect shape. A few of the movie buttons have some minor age spots on the metal backs, which is nothing out of the ordinary. Wear these around town and you’ll be making new friends in no time.
*ONE* ANIMORPHS FIGURE PER FUNPACK!
I don’t know much about Animorphs, but I know a cool fast food promo when I see it. You’ll receive ONE of the Animorphs action figures shown above, which were given away at Taco Bell way back in 1999!
So, Animorphs has something to do with kids transforming into animals, right? I guess that would explain why one figure is a boy who transforms into a lizard, and the other is a girl who transforms into a punk rock fly. You’ll receive one of these beauties at random, still sealed in its original Taco Bell baggie!
(The figure doubles as this month’s Dino Drac Specimen, by the way. Also note that on a few figures, some of the snap-on parts may have popped off in the bags. No worries, you can pop them right back in place once you open them!)
You will also receive a full-sized bag of Reese’s Pieces, mostly because E.T. demanded it. These are the regular 1.5 ounce packages, so you’ll be getting enough Reese’s Pieces to guarantee solid bloating. What fun! Pop on a movie, sit E.T. next to you, and share the candy-coated wealth!
This month’s Dino Drac Mini-Poster is another of those retro commercial collages I’m so fond of making. It’s 5×7”, printed on something resembling cardstock, and will remind you of everything from Toxic Crusaders to Berry Bears fruit snacks. Tack it up, baby.
You’ll also receive this month’s exclusive 2×2” Dino Drac sticker. Happy 2020!
Rounding things out, everyone gets a copy of the January 2020 Funpack Newsletter, as well as an exclusive essay that will never be reprinted on the site.
This month’s essay is about one particular visit to a long-closed local video store, way back in 1992. It’s as much about social anxiety and junk food as video stores, and if you share my kind of damage, I think you’ll relate to it!
Yep, you’ll receive everything shown above, for $25 shipped!
