Dino Drac’s July Funpack is here, and it’s ready to class you up for the rest of the summer!
UNITED STATES ONLY! LIMITED SUPPLY!
It’s the final Funpack before the Halloween season, and as you can see, it’s loaded with high fashion.
Subscriptions are currently maxed out, but I do have a number of spares that I can sell on an individual basis. If interested, zip to the bottom of this post to order one! They’re $25 shipped, to anywhere in the United States. (U.S. only, please!)
Otherwise, keep reading to learn about everything in this month’s box!
Get set for fun in the sun with your brand new (yet very old) McDonald’s sun visor! These are *extremely* vintage — possibly from the mid ‘80s, but from no later than the mid ‘90s. These are coming straight out of their original factory cases, and have NEVER been worn nor touched! You might need to air them out for a few mins, but they are brand spankin’ new!
These visors were never available to the general public. They were sold exclusively in franchisee catalogs, and were either meant to be worn by McDonald’s employees or given away at corporate events. Truly tragic to think that regular folks never had a crack at such style and grace.
The visors are one size fits all, assuming your head isn’t literally the size of a bowling ball. Since they’re absolutely stark white, I’ll put each in a plastic bag before shipping – we wouldn’t want them to get smudged in transit, now would we?
Allow me to further accessorize you with this Simpsons “Squishee” keychain, released by Kidrobot back in 2014. (Funny how this almost decade-old item seems almost modern by Funpack standards!)
These were originally released to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary. Each comes bagged and boxed. There was a whole set of different keychains available, but you don’t have to worry about any iffy pulls: You’re *all* getting the Squishee keychain, which IMO is one of the best in the set!
YOU WILL RECEIVE *ONE* OF THESE TWO TOYS!
The McD’s nostalgia continues! You’ll each receive ONE of the two Happy Meal toys shown above. Just one, not both! I have roughly equal quantities of each, so no matter which you’d prefer, there’s a 50% chance of getting it!
These seemingly disparate toys actually have a lot in common. They’re both from 1992, they’re both squirt toys, and they’re both the “Under 3” toys from their respective Happy Meal sets. You’ll either receive a squirting Baby Sinclair (from the Dinosaurs Happy Meal) or a squirting Nickelodeon Blimp (from the Nickelodeon Game Gadgets Happy Meal).
I love these silly things! Remember, you’ll get ONE of these two toys, not both! Cross your fingers for the squirter you want most!
And then we have this Squidgets “Impoppable Ball,” a simple stress-relief toy that looks like a mutant Gobstopper. Occupy your mind and hands by popping all of the little rubber “buttons,” and marvel at how they won’t stay indented no matter how much you beat them up!
There are countless color variations in the mix. You’ll receive one at random. I’ve been messing with mine for days now… trust me, they’re more fun than they might sound!
There wasn’t much space for candy in this month’s box, but I did manage to sneak in a fresh pack of Green Apple Kool-Aid. (A very underrated Kool-Aid flavor, by the way.)
Joining that is a vintage Power Rangers Power Coin Pack, which was given away at McDonald’s back in 1995. These were basically individually-packaged pogs, because in 1995, both pogs and Power Rangers were hot enough to warrant the fuss!
Oh, I almost forgot – this month’s 5×7” cardstock mini-poster celebrates one of my favorite fallen breakfast foods, Undercover Bears! (You remember them, right? The oatmeal from the early ‘90s that had little tiny gummy bears that magically appeared? So good!)
Joining that is this month’s exclusive 2×2” sticker, featuring Rock-a-Dile Red, one of the best-ever Kool-Aid mascots.
Rounding things out, you’ll also receive this month’s Funpack newsletter, plus an exclusive essay that will never be reprinted on the site.
This month’s casual essay is about my habit of searching for Halloween junk on eBay during the summer months. I have my reasons! You’ll see!
So yep, you’ll get all of that for $25, shipped anywhere in the United States!
If you’re already a subscriber and you’d like to stay that way… do nothing! You’re all set!
Thanks so much! The July Funpacks will all ship by Tuesday, July 25th, and should arrive just before the month is over. (If a few end up getting there a couple of days into August, don’t worry, the Kool-Aid will still be good!)
